It’s a great question, and something we were asked on several occasions when the product first surfaced. Unfortunately it took us until now to review the Schwinn 430 Elliptical Trainer. A lot of it had to do with our initial skepticism. After all, we’ve researched and reviewed just about every elliptical out there, and none of them really stood out from the pack. Sure there were different features here and there, but nothing that had the WOW factor. So we just figured the 430 was pretty much going to be the same.

For All Skill Levels?

Most of the time, purchasing an elliptical trainer is based on your skill level. There are options out there for beginners, and options out there for experts. However, you don’t really find too many ellipticals that offer both, which the Schwinn 430 Elliptical Trainer offers. In fact, in their advertisements they say these are for any skill level. So we opted to let someone with no experience try it and then another person with tons of experience try it. After recording the results we found that the 430 was easy to use in both cases.

The beginner stepped foot on it first, and the very first thing he said when trying a few levels is; “This is a lot more comfortable than the machines I normally use. The movements feel a lot more natural.” Our expert user hit the Schwinn 430 Elliptical Trainer and said; “I was surprised that it could challenge me the way it did.” We found out the reason for all this was because of the impact-free motion, as well as the upper and lower body flexibility. So after hearing from our test subjects we started to believe it could be the best option out there. Then again; we still weren’t sold on the idea based on past experience.
